If you continue to browse and use this website, you are agreeing to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions of use, which together with our privacy policy govern ReNewed's relationship with you in relation to this website. If you disagree with any part of these terms and conditions, please do not use our website.

The term 'ReNewed’ or 'us' or 'we' refers to the owner of the website. The term 'you' refers to the user or viewer of our website.

The use of this website is subject to the following terms of use:

TERMS AND CONDITIONS.

Please read through the following terms and conditions.  They are here to safeguard you as the customer and us as your retailer.

Orders.

  1. All orders are subject to availability.

  2. Orders on commission require a 50% deposit at time of ordering to confirm your order.

  3. Deposits for commissions are non refundable once a product is under construction.

  4. You are responsible for checking that all the details of your order are correct and suitable for your requirements including measurements, dimensions, product features, access and delivery.  If we attempt to make a delivery and cannot access the room of choice due to size restrictions then a delivery charge will be applicable to you and not refundable.

  5. We reserve the right to refuse to serve an individual or company.

Cancellations.

  1. If you order an item that is in stock you may cancel your order any time prior to delivery and not incur any costs as long as the items have not been dispatched for delivery.

  2. If you make a commission order and you need to cancel your order you may do so at any time up to 3 days after you have placed your order by contacting us (please see contact details below).

  3. If you cancel your order after 3 days you will unfortunately lose your 50% deposit.

Delivery details.

Royal Mail (Non-Furniture Items)

  1. Delivery costs are calculated based on the size and weight of the item(s) in your order.

  2. We aim to dispatch orders within 3 working days.

  3. We will notify you via email when your items have been dispatched.

  4. All orders are sent via Royal Mail 2nd class, so should be received within 7-14 days of ordering. If your item does not arrive after 14 days, please contact us.

  5. It is your responsibility to advise us of any non-standard delivery circumstances that may apply at the point of ordering.

Furniture items (Local Delivery Only)

  1. It is your responsibility to ensure that your furniture items you have ordered will fit into the room for which they are intended, that they will fit through all access points to the room, and that there is sufficient access for our delivery vehicle to reach the delivery address.  If we attempt to make a delivery and cannot access the room of choice due to size restrictions then a delivery charge will be applicable to you and not refundable.

  2. It is your responsibility to advise us of any non-standard delivery circumstances that may apply at the point of ordering.

  3. Where delivery bookings have been made: if you are unavailable to take delivery of your furniture order after agreeing delivery dates with us re-delivery charges may also apply.

  4. Once a delivery date is agreed and is cancelled by you for more than one week storage costs may be incurred which you will be responsible.

  5. If items are in stock they can be delivered to you within 14 days.  For commission items, the usual lead time is usually from 4  – 12 weeks. Occasionally unforeseen circumstances may occur which ReNewed has no control over, for this reason please be aware that under these circumstances lead times may extend up to 20 – 24 weeks for which we cannot be held responsible.  We will endeavour to keep you informed at all times.

  6. An adult must be present at the delivery address to carefully check the unwrapped products, sign and acknowledge receipt in a safe and satisfactory condition.  Please report any defects on delivery.

  7. The delivery crew will not attempt delivery if there are health and safety issues or where damage to your home may result and they will not remove doors and/or windows.

  8. The delivery crew reserve the right to refuse to move items within your home if there is a risk of damage to the Item or to your home and property.  You will be responsible for moving the Item(s).

  9. We carry the risk of loss or damage to the products until you receive them.  The products belong to you when you have received them and paid in full.

  10. For commissions, the final 50% payment is required prior to delivery of your furniture item.  Until that payment has been made the Item rightfully belongs to ReNewed.  We have the right to take the item away if payment is not made.

Returns.

  1. If for any reason you want to return your items, as long as they are not damaged after delivery we are happy for items to be returned up to 7 days after delivery and offer a refund, please note your initial delivery cost cannot be reimbursed and you are responsible for any cost incurred in returning the item(s).

  2. Please be reminded that all of our products are pre-loved and will have some signs of age. We will be as transparent as possible in our descriptions and product images so that customers are aware of the condition of items they purchase, however, if you believe any of our products to be of an unsatisfactory quality please contact us immediately (please see contact details below).

  3. If a product has a defect that was not made transparent to you prior to purchase we will endeavour to replace or repair the item in the first instance. If this is not possible, we will be happy to refund you as per Returns point 1. 

HIRE TERMS AND CONDITIONS.

Please read through the following terms and conditions before agreeing to your hire.  They are here to safeguard you as the customer and us as your retailer.

Orders.

  1. All orders are subject to availability and dates are not secured until we have confirmed this in writing.

  2. Orders require a 50% deposit to confirm your order.

  3. Deposits are non refundable once a product is under construction.

  4. You are responsible for checking that all the details of your order are correct and suitable for your requirements including measurements, dimensions, product features, access and delivery.  If we attempt to make a delivery and cannot access the room of choice due to size restrictions then an additional delivery charge will be applicable to you.

  5. We reserve the right to refuse to serve an individual or company.

Hire Period.

  1. Our hire period is for a single day, single event use, not multiple days, unless agreed in advance by special arrangement. 

  2. The hire period includes a day either side of your event for us to deliver and collect or you to collect and return. 

  3. We typically deliver the day before and collect the day after, however this may vary and we reserve the right to amend this if necessary, but we will inform you at the time of booking.

  4. The delivery and collection time will be arranged by ReNewed and you will be given a two hour time slot subject to our terms and conditions below. 

  5. If you need to set up the day before your event we advise you hire the stock for an extra day so we can deliver the day before you need it.

  6. Any extension to the hire period must be agreed prior to your event. None agreed extensions to the hire period will incur additional charges.

  7. The items shall at all times remain the property of ReNewed.

  8. The customer is responsible for the care of the items during the hire period from the time of delivery/collection until the items are collected/returned and accepted back into the possession of ReNewed.

  9. The majority of our products are vintage or antique items and each piece is, therefore, unique.

Delivery and collection.

  1. Both our dry hire and hire with delivery and collection options are a ‘drop and collect’ service and don’t include set up. 

  2. Our delivery service is an additional cost dependent upon the distance for delivery. 

  3. ReNewed will make every effort to deliver and collect goods at an agreed specified time, however it will not, under any circumstances, accept liability for any expense borne by the customer for any delay in delivery or collection.

  4. We will designate a 2 hour time slot for your delivery. We try our best to keep to this schedule, however, sometimes due to circumstances outside our control we may be later. We will do our best to contact you if we are due to be later than your designated delivery window.  

  5. Any unsociable hour delivery/collection carries an added premium that will be charged for each individual journey. (Anything before 9am or after 5pm)

  6. ReNewed will need access for our small van to deliver to your venue drop-off point. 

  7. Access must be accurately related to ReNewed so we can price the job accordingly and arrange an appropriate drop-off team and schedule this effectively. Failure to do so may result in additional charges being applied retrospectively.   

  8. Any distances over 25 metres from our van to your drop off point may incur an additional charge. Any fields, hills, lifts or stairs may incur an additional charge and must be discussed in advance if you require us to carry our stock/items through these to your drop off point. 

  9. As standard, ReNewed supplies one person per van for delivery and collection and requires the client to arrange appropriate persons to unload and carry. When available there will be an additional option for ReNewed to supply extra delivery/collection staff. 

  10. Upon receipt of the items, the customer must inspect all items. In the event of shortage or damage, it is the customer's responsibility to mark this at the time of delivery. If the customer fails to do this, the items will be deemed to have been delivered correctly, in a clean and undamaged condition. Equally, if there is no-one available to check the items, they will be deemed to have been delivered correctly, in a clean and undamaged condition.

  11. Some items will be delivered in secure packaging. Items should be returned to us in this packaging to avoid damage to items during transport.

  12. The customer agrees to return the items/prepare the items for collection, at the time period agreed or specified in ReNewed’s delivery sheet. Failure to return/prepare the items on time will result in an additional 10% charge of the total hire.

Self Collect & Return.

  • Items can be collected from our depot at the time period agreed at the time of confirming your booking.

  • Items will be packed and protected ready for collection, and should be securely packaged in the same was to be returned. The customer is wholly responsible for any damage or breakages that occur while loading and transporting the items. 

Courier Delivery and Collection.

  1. For smaller orders we may offer deliver and collection via courier.

  2. The courier will be selected by ReNewed.

  3. ReNewed will supply the packaging and return labels.

  4. All courier costs will be charged to the customer.

  5. Any replacement cost for items lost in transit via courier will be charged to the customer.

Responsibilities.

All hired stock is the responsibility of the customer whilst in their possession.

(Although we do have insurance, it is strongly advised that you obtain suitable insurance for all items hired from ReNewed)

  1. All stock must be stored inside (a marquee is acceptable)

  2. Damages will be charged dependant on the replacement cost of the individual item and are clearly provided in the item details 

  3. The  stock must be stored securely at all times as stolen items will be charged for. 

Health & Safety Information.

The customer must take all reasonable care for their own health and safety, and for the health and safety of others who may be affected by their actions, omissions or the use of equipment. The customer and any persons / appointed contractor working on their behalf must comply with all relevant health and safety legislation and any measures implemented by ReNewed.

  1. Please follow our instructions for your and your guest’s health and safety.

  2. Please take care when moving, lifting and using our stock which may be heavy, large, have unexpected centres of gravity and sharp parts.

  3. It is the customer’s responsibility to carry out their own manual handling risk assessment and to ensure adequate resources are available to lift and move the stock.

  4. When moving or lifting any of our stock,  it is the customer’s responsibility to assess their physical capabilities and to ensure that the stock is moved or lifted in a manner which will not cause harm to themselves or others.

  5. ReNewed’s furniture and items are vintage, reclaimed, antique and rustic,  therefore there may be splinters, nails, screws and rusted metal in some of our pieces.  It is the customer’s responsibility to take reasonable precautions to avoid injury to themselves and others or damage to clothing when moving, lifting or using ReNewed’s stock.

  6. It is the Hirer’s responsibility to make their guests aware of the conditions of hire and usage of ReNewed’s stock and to make them aware of their health and safety responsibilities to themselves and others.

Terms of Payment.

  1. To confirm and secure the items for your booking, you will be required to pay an initial instalment of 50% of your total hire cost. This amount will be requested via invoice to secure your booking and reserve your items. The remaining balance is due six weeks prior to your hire date.

  2. A week before your event, a damage deposit will be required.

  3. This amount paid is in addition to your hire items fee. The damage deposit is used as security for any potential breakages, damages and losses. This amount will be released back to you no more than 14 days from the date that all items are returned and have been checked. Any charges will be deducted from this amount, if necessary. 

  4. If necessary, ReNewed will list how much the deposit is, ordinarily 20% of the full hire amount.

  5. Should the cost of the damages exceed the damage deposit amount, then an additional invoice will be issued for these costs. Damage costs will be applied in respect of time taken to repair damage. If items are beyond repair or lost, items will be charged as shown on ReNewed’s website. 

  6. The balance of your hire charge must be paid at least 42 days (6 weeks) prior to the start of the hire period, along with any additional hire or delivery charges.

  7. Payments may be made via BACS, Paypal or in cash if attending our premises. Specific payment details will be given at the time of placing your order.

  8. Payment of the initial instalment confirms acceptance of ReNewed’s Terms & Conditions.

Cancellation.

You may cancel your booking by giving ReNewed notice in writing. In such circumstances, the customer shall compensate ReNewed for any Loss suffered by it as a result of the cancellation.

  1. In the event of a cancellation, the customer will forfeit their initial deposit in all circumstances.

  2. There is no obligation on ReNewed to find a replacement booking.

  3. ReNewed will retain or charge the customer the following amounts in the event of cancellation by the customer: (less the initial deposit):

    Period. Fees Payable.

    8 - 6 weeks before the agreed hire period 50% of the total hire cost plus any additional costs incurred by ReNewed

    Under 6 weeks before the agreed hire period 100% of the total hire cost plus any additional costs incurred by ReNewed

  4. Any cancellation charges detailed above will be invoiced to the customer and must be paid within 7 calendar days. The customer is advised to seek cancellation insurance from a third party.

  5. Any delivery / collection costs already paid by the customer will be returned to them within 14 days of cancellation, providing these costs have not already been paid to a third party courier, where the cost is non-refundable.

  6. The customer may postpone the event with over 90 days written notice to ReNewed before the event without penalty and the deposit payment duly transferred if the customer reschedules the event for a future date that is agreed with ReNewed no more than 90 days from the date of the original commencement of the hire period. Any date beyond this will be considered a cancellation and cancellation charges will apply in full as applicable.

  7. For any postponement within 90 days before the event, the customer will forfeit their initial instalment, with a new instalment due after an alternative date is agreed. 

  8. Any further postponement of any rescheduled event will result in full cancellation charges as set out above.

  9. The reduction of an order of more than 10% of the original order will be classed as a cancellation and will be subject to the above terms and conditions. 

  10. When a confirmed booking is postponed the stock from the original order will be transferred to the new date. If stock is reduced for the new date (at the time of postponement or at a later date), full cancellation charges will apply to the said stock.

Liability and Indemnity.

  • Indemnity Clause
    Unless caused by the negligence or wrongful act of ReNewed, its officers, employees, and agents, the customer shall indemnify and hold harmless ReNewed, its officers, employees, and agents in full against any claim arising from the hire in the event of:

    • The death of, or any injury caused to, any person in connection with the use of ReNewed’s stock;

    • Damage to, or loss of, any equipment, goods, articles, or property used in conjunction with the stock on hire by the customer or any other person or organisation;

    • Any works required to repair any damage caused to the fabric of the venue and arising in any way from the event, save to the extent that any such claim arises as a result of the negligence of ReNewed, its employees, or agents;

    • Any other claims, actions, damages, liabilities, fines, costs (including professional fees), or expenses arising in any way from the Hire Agreement, save to the extent that any such claim arises as a result of the negligence of ReNewed, its employees, or agents.

  • Exclusion of Liability for Cancellation or Rescheduling
    ReNewed shall not be liable to the Hirer by reason of any loss or damage sustained or inconvenience caused as a result of, or in any way arising out of, cancellation or rescheduling.

  • Force Majeure
    ReNewed shall not be liable to the customer by reason of any delay in performing or any failure to perform any of ReNewed’s obligations in relation to the event if such delay or failure is due to any cause beyond ReNewed’s reasonable control.

  • Agreement to Terms
    By receiving this document and entering into a hire agreement, the customer agrees to be bound by the terms of this hire agreement.

Social Media Contest Terms and Conditions.

1. The promoter is: ReNewed.

2. The competition is open to residents of the UK aged 13 years or over except employees of ReNewed and their close relatives and anyone otherwise connected with the organization or judging of the competition.

3. There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter any competition.

4. By entering the competition, an entrant is indicating their agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.

6. The contest will be held on the following channels: Facebook and Instagram only

7. Only one entry will be accepted per person on each social media channel. Multiple entries on one channel from the same person will be disqualified.

8. Closing date for entry will be as stated on the competition post. After this time, no further entries will be permitted.

9. No responsibility can be accepted for entries received after the closing date. 

Competition rules: 

  • The promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and terms and conditions without notice for any reason. Any changes to the competition will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by the promoter. 

  • The promoter is not responsible for inaccurate prize details supplied to any entrant by any third party connected with this competition. 

    Prize rules: 

  • The prize is as stated and no cash or other alternatives will be offered. Prizes are not transferable. Prizes are subject to availability and the promoter reserves the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice. 

Winners:

  • Will be chosen at random by software, from all entries received and verified by Promoter and or it’s agents .

  • By participating in this competition, an entrant indicates his or her acceptance of these terms and conditions. 

  • The competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by UK law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the UK. 

  • The winner agrees to the use of their name and image in any publicity material, as well as their entry. Any personal data relating to the winner or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current UK data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant's prior consent.
